BEEKEEPING COOPERATIVE

The cooperative society “Kurland Honey” was established on January 17, 2020, when seven honey producers joined forces to export their honey. Initially local, the cooperative currently consists of honey producers from the Dobele and Saldus regions.

Today, the cooperative has 13 members, whose farms span a wider area — from Bauska to Liepāja. Each year, the cooperative exports approximately 175 tons of honey, primarily to European Union countries, where the quality of Latvian honey is highly valued. Plans include continued growth, attracting new members, and expanding export markets — all while maintaining high-quality standards and promoting sustainable beekeeping in Latvia.

As a local cooperative where all beekeepers work using uniform methods, Kurland Honey can ensure consistent honey batches and easy traceability of its products.

The cooperative offers rape honey, multi-flower honey, and other apiculture products during the honey season.

We all have around 4600 bee colonies.

In the year, we exported about 175 tons of honey.

We currently  export honey to Lithuania and Poland

We are open for new collaborations!

The cooperative society Kurland Honey receives support from European Union funds to develop its cooperative activities and help its members work more efficiently. The project aims to expand the beekeeping cooperative and strengthen the beekeeping sector in Latvia, promoting sustainable and competitive honey production.
